In the meantime, you can download Kindle for PC for free and that will allow you to buy the e-book from Amazon. Otherwise, I will let you know when I get it ready for print!

Youngest daughter Emmy is in college in Tennessee…yes, it HAS been that long. Emmy’s roommate is Shelby. Shelby has a cousin in Nashville, TN and we met her when we visited Nashville over the summer. (The cousin).
So, the day after Christmas, Emmy and I were in a DARK theatre in Gainesville waiting to see Les Miserables. It was packed, but we had two seats empty next to Emmy. A couple walks up and is standing there, trying to figure out if those were available. Emmy looks up…OMG…Kahlie!! It’s Shelby’s cousin and her boyfriend Josh. What are the odds of running into them in Gainesville, FL? So, they sit down and we start talking. Turns out the boyfriend is from the area. We get to talking. He says he’s from the Starke area. I say, where exactly? He says Lake Butler. I say…oh, do you know Misty…and your last name was on the tip of my tongue…so he and I say DuBose at the same time. I tell him how I know you and he says, “Gosh, if you ever talk to her, tell her Josh Singletary says hello. I hardly ever get home.” I say, “I have no idea where Misty is now. Lost touch with her years ago.” And here you are!!! This is great!!!!
Just finished your book and I loved it. I hope we can expect more from you in the future. I’ll be passing it along to all my reading buddies.
Thank you SO much, Bobbie! I just checked my sales stats and I am amazed at how well my little novel is doing! And it is because so many readers are willing to share with friends that we are doing so well. My daughter and I are in the process of completing a stage play of The Pecan Man and a screenplay is next. Thanks so much for taking the time to post on here and for your support and encouragement!

I just heard from a group in Hawaii that did a discussion on it and hearing how it went just never gets old for me. I even love to hear the criticism…helps me grow. Please update me on how your review goes and thank you so much for letting me know. I am working on a new book, but it is slow going. I’m still working full-time, so it’s tough. Hopefully it won’t take me the ten years it took to get The Pecan Man out! LOL Keep me posted!!! 🙂

Have bought a class set of your book and have read it with 16-18 year olds here in London, of whom the vast majority loved the book as much as I did. Thank you for a wonderful piece of writing, so full of feeling. It gave us a lot to talk about in class and led to some great writing from the kids.
Oh, wow, Bridget…how I wish I could have been a fly on that wall. This is the first time I’ve had a teacher contact me to say The Pecan Man had been read in class. I remember reading To Kill a Mockingbird at a very young age, and the power of that book stayed with me for life. Just finished reading The Pecan Man. So good!! Made me cry, made me laugh and all I wanted was more of the same!!! Please, please, please, write some more. You are a most thoughtful, wonderful writer. And the whole time I was reading this I was thinking what a fantastic movie it would make. Was already thinking about casting the characters!!
